FAQ
Everything You Need to Know
- What do I need to do to get a website?
- Almost nothing. Send us a few basics — who you are, what you sell, where you sell it — and any existing photos you'd like us to use. We do the research, write the copy, build the design, and handle every technical detail. The whole process is built around busy business owners who don't have time for long meetings or back-and-forth. Most clients spend less than 30 minutes total getting their website live.
- How long until my website is ready?
- You'll see a first design within 72 hours of onboarding. From there, depending on revisions, your finished website is typically live within 2 weeks on your new or existing domain.
- Is this a page builder or template?
- No. Every site is custom-built with lightweight, SEO-friendly code — not WordPress, not Wix, not a drag-and-drop builder. We avoid page builders on purpose. They produce bloated code that loads slowly, ranks poorly, and frustrates the search engines you're trying to win on. Our sites are coded clean from the ground up so they load fast, rank higher, and stay easy to maintain.
- Will my website actually help me get more customers?
-
That's the whole point — it's why we built the company. Your website is designed using tried and tested conversion principles. We research your business, find what makes you different, sharpen your value proposition, and structure every page around how your visitor actually thinks — what they need to see first, what builds trust, and what gets them to pick up the phone. A pretty website that doesn't bring you clients is just an expensive business card. We don't build those.
On the Visibility and Advanced SEO plans, we also sync your website directly to your Google Business Profile so you start showing up when people nearby search for what you do — which is where most local customers actually find businesses today.
- What happens if I stop paying the monthly fee?
- We'll send a reminder. If you decide to cancel, that's completely fine — we just ask for 3 months' notice so we have time to prepare all your files and transfer the site over to you cleanly. No long contracts beyond that, no penalty.
- Who actually owns the website?
- You do. The design is yours from day one — that's why we can offer it free upfront. We host and maintain it while you're subscribed, and if you ever decide to leave, we hand everything over. We just ask for 3 months' notice so we have time to package up all the files, export everything cleanly, and transfer the site to you or your new provider without anything breaking. The reason we host the site ourselves during the subscription is technical: our hosting setup is specifically tuned for the lightweight, SEO-optimized code we use, which lets your site load faster and rank better than it would on generic hosting.
- Can I make changes to the website myself?
- You don't need to — and that's the point. Send us a message anytime ("change the colors," "add a new staff member," "update my hours," "add a new service page") and we handle it. Unlimited updates are included on the Visibility and Advanced SEO plans, so you'll never get a surprise invoice for asking us to keep your website current.
- What's the difference between the $59, $125, and $499 plans?
-
Professional ($59/mo) — A fast, conversion-focused one-page website with hosting, domain, setup, and ongoing support. Best for businesses that just need a clean, professional online presence.
Visibility ($125/mo) — Everything in Professional, plus a multi-page website synced to your Google Business Profile, a 20-step GMB setup, ongoing GMB management, unlimited updates, and a free in-person photo shoot for new clients. This is the plan most contractors and local service businesses choose because it's built specifically to dominate local search.
Advanced SEO ($499/mo) — Everything in Visibility, plus active monthly SEO work: new blog content, link building, and citation building. For businesses ready to compete for the top spots in their city long-term.
- Why is there $0 upfront? What's the catch?
- There isn't one. Most agencies charge $3,000–$15,000 upfront for a website like the ones we build. We believe small businesses shouldn't have to gamble that money before they've seen what they're getting. Our model works because we keep clients long-term by actually doing good work — not by locking them into a big upfront contract. You see the design first, you decide if you want it, you subscribe monthly, and you give us 3 months' notice if you ever want to leave so we can transfer everything to you properly.
- What is SEO and what's included in my plan?
- SEO is the technical and content work that makes Google show your business to the right people when they search for what you offer. Every plan includes the SEO basics: clean code, proper page titles, internal linking, schema markup, and mobile optimization. The Visibility plan adds full Google Business Profile optimization and management — which is where local SEO actually happens for service businesses. The Advanced SEO plan adds ongoing content, link building, and citations on top of that.
- What about security, backups, and the technical stuff?
- Handled. We manage hosting, SSL certificates, daily backups, security updates, and performance monitoring. If anything ever breaks, we restore it. You don't need to know what any of this means — that's exactly the point.
- Do I have to sign a long contract?
- No. Everything is month-to-month — the only thing we ask is 3 months' notice if you decide to cancel, so we have time to prepare your files and transfer the site to you properly.
